This Privacy Policy describes how TrueMelodies ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Gabe Marketing LLC, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit truemelodies.com, use our services, or purchase a custom song from us.

What We Collect

Information you give us directly:

Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
Your story — the answers you provide in our song questionnaire: the recipient's first name, your relationship, the occasion, and the memories and details you choose to share. This is the material we use to create your song.
Keepsake design choices — colors, backgrounds, and personal notes you select for your song's delivery page.
Order and payment information — processed securely by our payment providers (we never see or store your full card details).
Support communications — anything you send to support@truemelodies.com.

Information collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, and interaction data via cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).

How We Use It

To create and deliver your song. Your story and name details are used for one purpose: producing your custom song and its delivery page. We use professional music-production technology, including AI-based tools operated under commercial license, to create your song from the details you provide.
To run your order — payment processing, delivery emails, order support, and revisions.
To communicate with you — order updates always; marketing emails only where permitted, with a working unsubscribe link in every one.
To improve and protect our service — analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising measurement (e.g., Meta pixel) in accordance with applicable law.

We never sell your personal information. Your story is never used in our advertising, never shown to other customers, and never used for anything except creating your song.

Sharing Your Song Publicly (Only If You Choose To)

Some customers love to share their song or film the moment they play it. That's entirely up to you:

If you post publicly — for example on social media using a hashtag we mention in an email or on our site — you're choosing to make that content public, and we may reshare or feature it (crediting you as you appear publicly). You can ask us to stop featuring it at any time by emailing support@truemelodies.com.
If you send us a photo, video, or message directly and give us permission, we may feature it in our marketing. We will never use anything you send us this way without your clear go-ahead.
We never publish your song or story on our own initiative. Example songs in our advertising are created by us for that purpose — never a customer's song.

How Long We Keep Things (Our Retention Promise)

We believe your memories belong to you, not to our servers:

If you don't complete a purchase: your questionnaire answers and any generated preview are automatically deleted within 30 days.
If you purchase — uploaded files: any photos or files you upload are automatically deleted within 60 days of delivery. We don't need them once your song exists.
If you purchase — your customer record: your name, email, phone, order details, and the story you shared are kept as part of your customer record, so we can support you, re-create or re-deliver your song if anything is ever lost, and help you order again. You can ask us to delete this at any time — see Your Rights below.
Your finished song, its delivery page, and any keepsake files remain available to you so you can play, download, and share them. See our Terms of Service for details.
Order and payment records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.

Who We Share It With

Only service providers who help us run TrueMelodies: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, cloud storage and hosting providers, music-production technology providers, email delivery services, and analytics/advertising partners — each only what they need, each bound by their own privacy obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your session and progress, measure our advertising, and understand how the site is used. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The stories customers share may mention family members, including children — this content is used solely to create the customer's song and is deleted under the retention schedule above. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@truemelodies.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

International Transfers

We operate from the United States and our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
